A neighbourhood (British English, Irish English, Australian English and Canadian English) or neighborhood (American English; see spelling differences) is a geographically localised community within a larger city, town, suburb or rural area, sometimes consisting of a single street and the buildings lining it. Neighbourhoods are often social communities with considerable face-to-face interaction among members. Researchers have not agreed on an exact definition, but the following may serve as a starting point: "Neighbourhood is generally defined spatially as a specific geographic area and functionally as a set of social networks. ''The Neighborhood'' is an American sitcom television series created by Jim Reynolds that premiered on CBS on October 1, 2018. The series follows a white Midwestern family as they adjust to moving into a predominantly black neighborhood in Pasadena, California. Plot Set in Lima in the 1990s during the presidency of Alberto Fujimori, the editor of the notorious tabloid ''Exposed'', Rolando Garro, is found beaten and stabbed to death and his body left outside a gambling parlor. Enrique Cárdenas and Juan Peineta, both of whom had their reputations destroyed by ''Exposed'', are suspected of killing Garro. Cárdenas was blackmailed by Garro to invest in his tabloid otherwise he would publish nude photos of Cárdenas. ''The Neighbourhood'' is the third studio album by American alternative band The Neighbourhood. It was released on March 9, 2018 by Columbia Records. It was preceded by two EPs: ''Hard'', which was released on September 22, 2017, and ''To Imagine'', released on January 12, 2018. The tracks from the extended plays that were not finally included on the album were compiled in another EP called ''Hard to Imagine''. These tracks were also released in an additional disc on the digital deluxe edition of the album. An edition known as ''Hard to Imagine the Neighbourhood Ever Changing'' was released on November 2, 2018 and included all of the EPs' contents and all but two songs from the original album. The Neighbourhood (sometimes rendered as "THE NBHD") is an American rock band formed in Newbury Park, California, in 2011. The band is composed of vocalist Jesse Rutherford, guitarists Jeremy Freedman and Zach Abels, and bassist Mikey Margot. After releasing two EPs, ''I'm Sorry...'' and ''Thank You'', the Neighbourhood released its first full-length album '' I Love You.'' on April 23, 2013, via Columbia Records. Neighborhood Records (Neighborhood Music Pub. Corp.) was a record label founded by Melanie Safka and her husband Peter Schekeryk in 1971. The label's biggest hit was her #1 single "Brand New Key". First distributed by the Famous Music group of record labels (i.e. Dot, Blue Thumb and Paramount), it shifted distribution to Bell/ Arista before folding in 1975. There is also an independent record label by the same name that was founded by M.A. Sotelo in 2006.
